This external axial retaining rings with lug holes are installed on shafts (externally). The lugs allows good clearance on a shaft and forms a uniform shoulder good for retaining bearings and other components with large corner radii or chamfers. This ring can be easily installed by separating the lugs using a special plier with tips on the end and then released on the shaft. The resulting shoulder of the ring retains a assembly. This ring is made up of high quality spring steel which offers an extra strength, high tensile strength, excellent fatigue properties, corrosion resitance, capable of preventing atmospheric oxidation at temperatures at wide temperature range and have minimum distortion upon heat treatment. These retaining rings are compatible to use in the assemblies of GE's Molecular Imaging and Nuclear Medicine Systems. These retaining rings will be shipped with proper packaging with adequate protection during transit.
